Gene D. Helton, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Gene was born on August 18, 1940 in Middletown, Ohio to parents Otto Helton and Jeanette (McKenzie) Helton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Jeanette Helton; daughter, Ragena Ann Helton; grandchildren, Mady and JJ; and brother, Jerry Helton.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda (Hafer) Helton; son, Kerry Helton (Dani); grandchildren, Nick, Lily, Jozie, and Destiny; sister, Janice Helton Tydings (Mike); nieces; Teresa Helton Hood (Ricky), Cyndi Harting Davis (Doug); Becky Koettel (John Skaggs); grand nieces, Angela Russo, Ricki Brooke Hood; grand nephews, Nick Russo and Joseph Russo; and numerous additional extended family members and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the Venue on the Lake/Maitland Civic Center, 641 Maitland Ave S, Maitland, FL 32751. A reception will follow.
