Gene Moncrief

Gene Moncrief, age 97, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Gene was born on December 28, 1924 in Barwick, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Susan Alma (Boles) Moncrief, his beloved wife, Barbara Estelle Moncrief and by his 11 brothers and sisters.

Gene retired from Winn Dixie Supermarkets where he was the manager of the Seafood Department. He also served proudly in the United States Army. Gene loved being with his family and was a good friend to all.

Gene is survived by his son, Kenneth E. Moncrief, his daughter, Dee Kelley, his 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Services for Gene will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Road in Orlando. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando, Florida.
