Gene Schreiner, 69 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. He was born on December 10, 1943 in Columbus, Montana to Jacob Schreiner and Marie (Kukes) Schreiner and was raised in Billings, Montana.
Gene was retired just shy of 26 years from the United States Army where he served seven years in Korea and five tours of duty in Vietnam. Gene was an active member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4287 where he served on the Honor Guard Team. He was also a member of Semper Fidelis of America, Inc. He was of the Protestant Faith. Gene enjoyed volenteer work at the V.F.W., the V.A. Hospital, the Children's home on Narcoossee Road and the Vietnam and All Veterans Reunion in Melbourne, Florida.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Linda Schreiner; son, Anthony K. La Bella and his wife, Terry; daughter, Meg Shoup and her husband Brian; granddaughters, Kyrsten Hodges, Katie La Bella and Emily La Bella and grandson, Davis Hodges.
