Geneal Reynolds- Age 90 of Orlando, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012. She was born in Sycamore, Georgia. During WWII she worked for a defense contractor as an aircraft electrical assembler.
She was married 62 years to Shirley C. Reynolds, who was a WWII veteran. They were married until his passing in 2003.
Geneal was a member of the Georgia Women's Military Band where she played the Sax. She worked at Gordon Foods in Atlanta, GA for several years; did volunteer work at South Fulton Hospital, Camp Fire Girl, and Girl Scout Leader. She loved to travel, was an excellent seamstress, cook and gardener. (she even enjoyed raking leaves!)and was an avid reader- especially her Bible. Geneal enjoyed spending time babysitting her grandchildren.
She was a member of the African Violet Society of America, Inc., attended The First Baptist Church of Orlando and was active in neighborhood community association events. She recently retired and lived at Emeritus at Conway- an assisted living facility, where she was involved in all activities. She loved her new friends and loved all her physical therapy and exercise classes.
More important than anything... She loved her family and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Tindall, Sally Ann Ostby; step-daughter, Joann Feger, step-son, Thomas Reynolds; Grandson, Phillip Thomas Ostby, granddaughter, Hannah Lorene Ostby; sister, Lorene Garrison, brother, Carl Yancey.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously request contributions be made in memory of Geneal to The American Heart Association.
