Genevieve (DaQuisto) Marrone ended her long struggle with Alzheimers's Disease and peacefully entered through the gates of heaven on Sunday, April 11, 2021.
Genevieve, known to all her family and friends as Jeanette, was born August 20, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. She met the love of her life Ben Marrone at the age of 17 and they married on July 12, 1952.
Jeanette was a devoted wife and mother, who created special times with her grandchildren. She was a warm, kind, fun loving woman to everyone she knew and met. She never met a stranger, always a friend.
She served on the school PTA, was a Girl Scout Leader, and was an active member of St. Andrews Catholic Church where she volunteered as a greeter on Sundays and was a member of the Women's Club. She also was a volunteer for over 10 years at the Conway Medical Center, in Conway, SC.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her father Salvatore DaQuisto, mother Julia (Perry) DaQuisto, brother Paul DaQuisto and her son Joseph Marrone (wife Paula).
Jeanette is survived by her husband of 69 years Ben. Their children; Grace Ann Marrone Cabrera and Robert Marrone (wife Rosa). Her grandchildren; Elizabeth, Emily, Amanda, Richard, Robert, Julianna, Joseph, Cassandra and Brandon. Her great grandchildren; Olivia, Violette, Hailey, Giovanni, Gianna & Colton.
There will be a private viewing for family members on Thursday April, 29th, 2021 from 11:30pm to 1:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions 895 S Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822.
Friends and relatives are welcome to a celebration of life mass following the viewing at 2:00pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 1501 North Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32828
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Easter Seals Day Break in Orlando 2010 Crosby Way, Winter Park, FL 32792, Alzheimer's Organization, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Jeanette's name.
