George Edward,Sr. Dorfler

Dorfler, George E., Sr.- Age 73, of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away on Friday, October 15, 2004. He was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to Florida in 1968. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and a member of the church choir. Mr. Dorfler was a Korean War veteran with the United States Marine Corp. He dedicated 30 years to Youth Baseball and was inducted into the Altamonte Springs Little League Hall of Fame. Mr. Dorfler is survived by his wife, Geraldine, daughters, Sharon Keeling and Gerri Tacner, son, George E. Dorfler, Jr., sister, Doris Fales, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Viewing will be held from 6:30 – 9:00 PM on Monday, October 18, 2004, in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Ave., Altamonte Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Thompson as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Dorfler to the American Cancer Society, or the Special Olympics.
