George Hoffman, Virginia Beach, VA- Mr. George Hoffman, 54, a resident of Virginia Beach, died Saturday, July 2, 2011. George was born September 23, 1956 in Recife, Brazil. Son to the late George E. Hoffman. Survivors include mother Maria T. Hoffman of Orlando, FL and two sisters, E. Ann Hoffman and Christina Hoffman Ansell both of Orlando, FL, nieces and nephews.
George loved baseball as a child. He was a pitcher. He loved almost all sports. He also loved chasing the chickens in Brazil. If you would have met George you would have liked him. He was a pleasure to be around and enjoyed making people laugh. He was injured while walking down the street when he was 17 years old. His mom got a handicap sticker for his car to make getting around easier, but he would not go himself because he did not think of himself as handicapped. He was a hard worker and worked two jobs most of his life. He also loved his family. He wanted to make sure that school was important and he would reward his youngest sister for her grades. He also was the oldest son in the family. When it was time for his youngest sister to get married he walked her down the aisle. He did not have an easy life, but you would not know it. He always had a positive smile.
