George John Koufakis Sr. age 66 of Orlando passed away Monday, March 6, 2006. Born in Rockville Center, New York, he moved to Central Florida in 1980. He was employed by Home Depot on East Colonial Drive in Orlando. He was retired from the New York Fire Department and Freeport Special Police in Freeport, Long Island, New York. He was also a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine, son, George, daughter, Mary, nephew, Nick Cominos; and niece, Connie Moyer all of Orlando.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 10, 2006 in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
