G. Thomas Kuhn (Tom), passed away December 19, 2023. Born in Brattleboro, VT, he moved to Florida in his youth and graduated from Sanford High School and Florida Southern College. Certified Public Accountant, he retired from the firm of Kuhn, Chatham, and Seland. He lived in Longwood and held leadership positions in numerous civic and charitable organizations such as Sertoma Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Seminole County Republican Executive Committee.
Tom received awards for his active participation in community projects, which include being named to the Florida Community Stars Hall of Fame and recognition for over 60 years of community service from the South Seminole Sertoma Club.
He also was active in church ministries, serving as a Licensed Eucharistic Minister, lay reader, church treasurer, usher, greeter, Vestry member, and senior Warden. With wife, Barbara, he participated in jail ministry and assisted in conducting church services aboard cruise ships. Tom and Barbara also conducted church services at Village on the Green.
He is survived by two daughters, Jill Lange in Clermont FL, and Kim Fisher in Leesburg FL. His son, Glen Johnson, passed away in 2002. Tom was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. His philosophy of life was "Don't Worry. Be Happy." He didn't, and he was.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to either New Covenant Anglican Church, 800 Tuscawilla Rd., Winter Springs, FL 32708 or Beverly Winesburgh, Sertoma Treasurer, 1303 Hillway Road, Apopka, FL 32703. Please give return address for acknowledgement. A memorial service will be held at Village on the Green at 10:00am. Another service, with garden interment and reception, will be held at New Covenant Anglican Church at 2:00pm. Both events will be on January 20, 2024.
