George A. Manders, 73, of Orlando, FL, passed away May 9, 2024, at the Orlando VA Living Community Center in Lake Nona, FL.
He was born in Dubuque, IA, on February 22, 1951.
George was a PV2 in the U.S. Army. He served 2 tours of the Vietnam War. He was a taxi driver in Orlando for many years. He volunteered many years for the Salvation Army as well. He loved his family and friends. George enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, listening to Jimmy Buffet, playing video games, and going to Old Town in Kissimmee, FL.
He was preceded in death by Alfred Manders, Lucille Manders, Genevieve Timmerman, Albert Buttows, and Violet Burrows.
He is survived by his siblings, Albert Manders, Lisa Kieler, Patty Neyen (Don), Mary Grant (Bob), and Angie Kruser (other Gene Miller).
A committal service will be held at Florida National Cemetery on May 15, 2024, at 10:30 AM.
