George D Powell

George Delapena Powell, age 74, was born on July 13, 1949, in Christiana, Manchester, Jamaica to his parents Bernard Powell and Enid Powell. He later met his loving wife in the early 70's. They progressed into marriage and shortly after starting a family, they relocated to New York to live. After spending a few years in New York in the cold, they decided to migrate to Florida to continue raising their daughters. George built an amazing career at Florida Hospital as a Chef until retirement. George peacefully transitioned to his eternal rest in Lake Mary, Florida, on January 16, 2024.

George was preceded in death by his father; Bernard Powell, mother; Enid Powell and wife; Dian Powell.

He is survived by his two daughters; Jeanice Powell and Candice Powell; Sister: Norma Murrell; Grandchildren: Alexandria Powell, Amari Powell, Jordan Powell, Hailee Powell, Madison Wheeler, Skye Powell, and Braylon Powell; Great Grandchildren: Alexis Powell, Kylee Powell and Bentlee Wheeler, and many Nieces and Nephews.

We will cherish the loving memories and the time that we had with him. He will forever live in our hearts!
