William "Gerald" Heath, 86, of Orlando died peacefully at home Thursday, June 13, 2013 of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD).
Mr. Heath was born November 27, 1926, to Lela and Henry Heath of McRae, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Aubrey and Mendel "Troy" Heath.
Mr. Heath proudly served during WWII in the Merchant Marines aboard a hospital ship, and later in the Air Force during the Korean war.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Edna Rentz Heath; son, Robert Alan Heath (Robin) of Trenton, FL; granddaughter Sherry Heath of Newton, NC; grandson Robert Heath of Deltona, FL; and great grand-children, Brandon, Robby, Shannon, Dalton, and Brianna. Mr. Heath is also survived by his sister, Jane Norris, of Winter Garden, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10AM-11AM, Tuesday, June 18 at First Baptist Church of Pinecastle. Funeral services will begin at 11AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice.
