Ged McCormick, 53, of Skelmersdale,England/Orlando,Florida died unexpectedly on December 22nd from injuries sustained from a car hitting him on Chickasaw Trail in Orlando. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Gerard McCormick was born on December 24th 1966 to Margaret McCormick (nee) McGreevey and John McCormick in Liverpool,England. Ged attended St Marks Primary and St Richards Comprehensive in Skelmersdale. Ged was not passionate about anything in school, his passions were football especially
Liverpool Football Club, music from all era's and entertaining people.
Ged worked in many industries but his longest career was in entertainment as a Karaoke host, DJ and comedian. For 35 years, Ged would spend his weekends hosting weddings, birthdays and anniversaries providing entertainment for people in Skelmersdale and Florida.
Anybody who knew Ged would know him to be a genuine gentleman, who though not perfect thrived on making people happy, hearing them laugh and watching them dance. Ged was a simple man with simple needs which his later years proved. Everyone who knew Ged has a story to tell, sharing them on this page would be much appreciated by his daughter Danielle McCormick and her mum Samantha McCormick. By his two brothers John and James McCormick and their wives Cathy and Lynne. And his sister Catherine Andrews and her husband Mike.
There was a service held in Orlando,Florida on January 8th, 2021 at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions on Goldenrod, which Danielle and Samantha were able to attend with all of Ged's Florida friends and a live stream was held so the rest of the family in England and Australia were able to watch such a lovely heartwarming service.
However, the family in England are planning to hold a service and to have a celebration of Ged's life most likely in the Buffs in Skelmersdale during the summer time hopefully. Which will be arranged once COVID restrictions have been lifted.
