Gilbert E. Potyandy, age 82, of Orlando, Florida went home to rest on Saturday, May 21, 2022. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and 3 of his daughters. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 8, 1939, to the late Stephen and Vernice Potyandy.
As a young man, Gil served our Country proudly in Korea with the United States Army. Having a love for all things electronic, Gil had a long career as an Electronics Technician with Amateur Electronics Supply. After retirement, Gil eventually returned to the workforce with L3 Communications at Orlando International Airport for quite a few years.
Gil is survived by his loving wife of almost 56 years, Donna Potyandy; Son, Daniel (Brenda) Garcia; Daughters, Lori Cottle, Linda (David) Rounds, Dawn (Evan) Grothe and Carrie Lewis.; Grandchildren, Tonya, Amanda, Brooke, Jessica, Sarah, Alec (Dallas), Alyssa, Sean, Corrine (Joey), Ean, and Addisyn; and 12 Great Grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother, Stephen Potyandy, Jr., sister, Joyce Headley, and his son in law, Rex Cottle.
A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 3500 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822.
