Gill Bottoms was born July 8, 1959 in Topeka, Kansas.
He grew up in Central Florida and graduated from Luther High School. He proudly served our country as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed his travels as he served on the Great Lakes in Michigan, Key West, Alaska, Hawaii, and Japan. He went home to be with Jesus on February 18, 2024 at the age of 64. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Gill is preceded in death by his father, George Clouse. He is survived by loving family, his mother Mary-Jo Clouse, sister Karen D. Pope (Kevin Pope), nephews, Trent Pope (Sarah Pope), Evan Pope (Kendra Mendes), and Ian Pope, and niece Kaycee Pope.
His celebration of life service will be at Action Church in Sanford on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00am. 650 E. Airport Blvd, Sanford, Fl. 32773.
Gill will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on February 29, 2024 at 12:30pm. We kindly request no flowers due to constraints with the National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews in his honor. (www.help.ifcj.org)
