Gina B. Seeley, age 65, of Apopka, FL passed away suddenly on August 2, 2021, at AdventHealth Apopka Hospital. Gina succumbed to a four-year battle with cancer.

Gina was born on March 23, 1956, in South Bend, IN, daughter of the late John Eugene and Laurene Dell (Morris) Bartley.

Gina graduated from the University of Kentucky and went on to pursue her degree in respiratory care.

On January 1, 1987, she married Edward Lee Seeley. She met Ed while working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After having several international travel experiences to Africa, China and several European countries, they decided to move to Orlando, Florida. It was well known that she loved to travel and scuba dived in the Red Sea. From that time forward, it became known as Gina's tours. She liked making arrangements for all travels.

In 1989 she was hired at Florida Hospital as an ICU Neonatal Respiratory Therapist. During her 30 years of service, she was presented with 3 awards - 2015 Respiratory Care Excellence Award Exemplary Professional Practice Florida Hospital for Children, Employee of the Month, November 2015, Florida Hospital for Children and the Advent Health Orlando Respiratory Care Services award for 11/15/1989 - 1/17/2020.

Gina has two children that she adored, Ryan and Lauren. She loved doing activities with the kids, especially taking long walks on the beach to collect sea shells and sand dollars, and going on vacation trips with her family and friends.

Gina and Lauren loved sharing the Disney experience. They both entered many 5K and 10K races and she was extremely proud of their successes earning many medals. Gina even helped out with events during her intermittent recovery periods.

Gina and her son Ryan were very much involved with school activities by going to his soccer games, playing golf and watching movies. She loved being involved with her son's love of technology and having an involvement with his growth in learning about life.

Gina enjoyed cooking, going to restaurants and shopping. Shop till you drop was her motto! She was very skilled at arts and crafts, knitting, sewing, crocheting, making handmade jewelry, blankets and pillows for her friends and family.

Gina loved all animals, but especially her 4 cats, Scooter, Simba, Tinkerbell, Windy, and her children's 2 dogs, Phoebe and Moka.

Gina had a determination and love of life that inspired all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by all.

Gina is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Edward, of Apopka; her son, Ryan Seeley and her daughter, Lauren Seeley, of Apopka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Susan Haluda.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, with Chaplain Mike Caroline officiating

Visitation with the family will precede the service on Saturday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
