Ms. Gladys Esther Romero, 77, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. Gladys was born on July 11, 1938 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico to parents Candido Romero and Felicita Santana.
Following her high school graduation, Gladys completed college courses in secretarial school to begin her lifelong career in clerical work. The last company she was employed by was Macon Electrical for 6 years until her retirement in 1991.
Gladys was very strong in her Catholic faith and was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Orlando.
She is survived by her three loving daughters, Evelyn B. Mercado-Forestier, Myrna J. Tellado, and Wendolynn Velez; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many other family members who will all miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with a prayer service at approximately 6:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM, also at Newcomer Funeral Home, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
