Gladys Iris Torres, 89, of Orlando, FL, passed away on March 9, 2024.
She was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, and at the young age of seven her mother passed away.
Gladys met her husband, Francisco Torres Prieto, and they married very young on October 5, 1950. She worked very hard to help the family, and in 1986, they moved to Florida, where she worked in hospitality for over 20 years earning much recognition for her hard work and dedication.
She babysat when she retired, and the children she cared for all called her grandma because she loved them as her own.

Survivors include her sisters, Margarita Perez and Ramona Gonzalez; brothers, Reynaldo Gonzalez, Gregorio Gonzalez and Johnny Gonzalez; and grandchildren, Michael, David, Thomas Giraldo and Frank, Jim and Veronica Torres, and Jason and Yasmin Torres. Krystal Figueroa; and three great great grandchildren, Luca Michael Giraldo, Rayn Isiah, and Ravyn Carmen Burgos.
Gladys attended St. Isaac Jogues church for many years until she got sick just before the pandemic in 2019. She was loved by many who knew her and prayed for her during all these years. Gladys will be missed by her loving family and friends.
