Glenn Everett Scott, 73, of Longwood was called home on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 and is now in the presence of the Lord.
Glenn was born on June 10, 1948 in Washington, DC, son of the late Homer and Eula (Fouraker) Scott. On August 16, 1974, he married the former Gail Fruehan. Glenn worked primarily as a mechanic and was very proud of his family owned garage, where he served the town of Longwood for many years. He also had a love for gardening and porch sittin'. Glenn was a faithful member of Rolling Hills Moravian Church. He was a friend to many and a wonderful neighbor, but he will most be loved and remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and dear grandfather.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail Scott of Longwood; his two sons Galen Scott and his wife, Savanah of Calhoun, KY, and Garrett Scott and his wife, Rachelle, of Longwood; his daughter, Glenda Allen and her husband, William, of Edgewater, FL; eight grandchildren, Hailey Scott, Caid Scott, Ainsley Scott, Emery Jo Scott, Shepherd Scott, Avery Allen, Brody Allen, and Piper Allen; two brothers, Harry Scott and his wife, Doris, of High Springs, FL, and Keith Scott of Daytona Beach; and a sister, Susan Sirianni and her husband, Jack, of Lake Mary, FL.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, with Reverend Tom Shelton and Pastor Evette J. Campbell officiating.
Visitation with the family will precede the service on Friday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Historic Lake Mary Cemetery.
