Gonzalo Alvaro Bustamante

Gonzalo Alvaro Bustamante, age 72, of Orlando, Florida went to be with The Lord on Friday, October 8, 2021. He was born in Medellin, Colombia on September 29, 1949 to Father, Esteban Bustamante Carvajal and Mother, Amanda Arizmendy Cardona.
He was 15 when he arrived to New York City from Medellin, Colombia, chasing the American dream. At 17, he met the girl that he would marry, Mariela Bayer Bustamante, they had four sons. He forged on with the family and initiated a life in Orlando, FL. Utilizing their entrepreneurship skills, they established an influential business that connected the developing Colombian community. They curated social events that would provide a safe haven to enrich the culture. Shortly after the passing of Mariela, he found Jesus which defined his trajectory in his later years. Through his religious journey he met Gloria, who later became his wife and helped him carry his profound beliefs till his last days.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Bustamante, Four Sons and Wives Engelbert & Nancy Bustamante, Jorge Leon Bustamante & Chaeyun Ahn , Juan Carlos & Karina Bustamante, Miguel Angel & Carolina Bustamante; Two Granddaughters, Francesca Bustamante, Elani Bustamante; Grandson, Lucas Bustamante; Grandniece, Isabella J. Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Anyone who knew Gonzalo was touched by his kindness and generous spirit. His loving nature, exceptional cooking and good humor will forever be missed.

Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and following the Memorial Service through 3:30 p.m.
