Gonzalo Capristan

December 6, 1938 — June 5, 2016

Mr. Gonzalo Capristán was born in Pacasmayo, Perú on the 6th of December, 1938 to his parents, José Del Carmen and Zenovia Rosa. He was the youngest of 4 brothers and 5 sisters. He went to school to become a licensed pharmacist in Perú. Through that career, he was given the opportunity by the US Ambassador to come here and live the American dream in 1968. In New York, he volunteered for the American Red Cross and worked for St John's University, Revlon, Elizabeth Arden. In 1969, he pursued a long-haired beauty named Milagros Ordoñez that he met while offering her shelter from the rain with his umbrella! {It also rained really hard after Gonzalo passed into Sleep.} They married each other in love the following year, which is now 4 years shy of their amazing golden anniversary. Together they raised two children, Monica and Martin. He also was blessed with two young grandsons, Paulo and Marcelo-Gonzalo named after him!

In 1975, he worked with his wife who is a seamstress and fashion designer & they worked with Broadway shows and other designers in New York City. In 1987, they moved to Palm Coast, FL. They continued to flourish their business with swimwear and costumes for surrounding theme parks when they moved to Orlando years later.

Gonzalo was well known for being very passionate about politics ever since he was in Perú...He played a role in the election of a Peruvian president. He would go there often and for every election. Here in America, he was very involved in the re-election of our current Sheriff Demings and also the election of our current Mayor Buddy Dyer. He spent countless hours campaigning by canvassing in neighborhoods and telephone calls. His support has been recognized several times by US Government Officials and the President of the United States via letters, signed pictures, etc.

There is much more that can be said about our social, funny, hard-working, active, thoughtful husband/father/brother/brother-in-law/uncle/friend who had a great smile, but please just continue to uplift the hurting hearts he left behind to The loving Creator.
