August 29, 1946 – March 16, 2012

Gregory Dane Capps, 65, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Randolph, NJ, passed away on March 16, 2012. Greg bravely served our country in The United States Army as a helicopter hydraulic specialist during the Vietnam War. For many years, he also proudly served as a firefighter in the Mt. Freedom Fire Department in NJ. By trade, he was a talented automotive mechanic.

He joins his parents, Jarvis and Eva, and brother Jeffrey in a more peaceful place. He is survived by his dedicated and caring wife of 42 years, Claire; his daughter Angela and sons Thomas and Timothy, and their spouses. The oldest of five children, he is survived by brothers Rodney and Michael and sister Beverly. He was a loving Papa to his grandchildren, Allison, Madison, Tabitha, Erin and Alexander.

A June memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Hildale Park Presbyterian Church, Cedar Knolls, NJ. The Capps family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the members of the Orlando Fire Department for all their moral support and generosity during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:
