Gwendolyn Edwards

Gwendolyn Edwards was born November 2, 1926 in Maybole, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.

She migrated to England and resided there for ten years after which she moved to the United States. She worked at the Haitian-America daycare center for over 20 years in Brooklyn, NY. She attended Bedford Central Presbyterian Church. She loved to cook and loved picnics with her church and family. She also loved traveling. She died on December 31, 2014 in Orlando, Florida after a full and healthy life.

She was preceded in death by her mother Maude Graham and father Nathan Dennett, three brothers, two sisters and her husband Winston Edwards. She is survived by one brother, Cecil Gilifilian, two sisters, Phyllis White and Lucille Allen, her daughters, Angelita Clarke and Lecita Vickham, granddaughter: Paula Robinson and her husband, Kandekor Robinson, granddaughters: Saundra Edwards, Debbie Clarke, Anne Mojana Clarke, grandsons, Nicholas Russell, Kensurt Clarke and David Clarke, fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Funeral service is Monday January 19, 2015 at 10am at the Pine Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4955 Rose Avenue, Orlando, FL 32808. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, Apopka, FL.

Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando Chapel.
