Gwendolyn Mabel Jones , 83, of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She retired from Wallace Nurses Registry as a Nurses Aid after over 20 years of service.
She was born on November 3, 1929 in Newton, West Virginia to Ernie Hensley and Ruby(Combs)Hensley and moved to Altamonte Springs from Ormond Beach, Florida.
Long time Ormond Beach resident, Gwen was active in Girl Scouts as a leader of Troop 361 where she made an impact on the lives of many young girls. Like the angels she collected and loved so much, her kind and caring spirit shone brightly in everything she did, from her early work at Tomoka Elementary to her long time career of caring for the elderly. She was an angel on earth that has now returned to Heaven.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her Daughter, Paula P. Fosmoe and her Brother, Gerald Hensley. She is survived by her children, Son, Arnold E. Jones, Son, Jeff W. Jones, Daughter-in-law, Yami Jones, Son-in-law, Albert G. Fosmoe II, Daughter-in-law, Lisa Jones, Daughter-in-law, Carmen S. Fosmoe, Grandchildren, Alex Cheshire, Andrew Cheshire, Allison Cheshire, Abigail Jones, Victoria Jones, Courtney Fosmoe, Blake Fosmoe, Donovan Fosmoe, Micheal McKinley, Derek McKinley and 5 Great Grandchildren.
