Cockman, Haggie I.- Age 82, of Sanford passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2004. He was born in Ogden, Kansas. Mr. Cockman retired from the Seaboard Coastline railroad after 39 years. He was an active member of the Sanford Church of God, where among other things, he was a Bus Captain and a Senior Minister. He was a Volunteer for the Central Florida Regional Hospital Auxilliary, and in 2001 received the Frist Humanitarian Award for Volunteer of the Year. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Sanford D.A.V.. He was a Salvation Army Volunteer. Mr. Cockman is survived by his wife, Naida Y. Cockman; son, Mark D. Cockman; sisters, Gynith Tanner & Beretta Story; grandchildren, Marc Cockman & Marlo Biltres; great-grandchildren, Alexander Cockman, Nicholas Cockman, Nathan Cockman, Lindsey Biltres and Sebastian Biltres. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2004 in the Sanford Church of God, 801 W. 22nd Street, Sanford, with Reverend Wes Tanksley officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Park Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be in the church this evening (Friday) from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.
