Harold Steve Clark, 76, of Longwood, FL entered into God's Kingdom on August 6, 2023. Steve was born in Amarillo, TX on February 10, 1947. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold (Hal) John Clark and Joyce Elmore (Fleming) Clark and his sister Cynthia Joyce Clark.
After being a Sandie football player for Amarillo High School, Steve graduated in 1965 and joined the United States Marines Corps where he served until 1972.
Going by H. Steve Clark since his college days at Amarillo Junior College (1968) and later Texas Technology University (1975) with a Bachelors of Arts in Architecture.
Steve was a talented design architect. In his career he designed amazing buildings including Temple Baptist Church in Odessa, TX and Ratliff Stadium that was the focal point in the movie "Friday Night Lights".
Steve moved his family to Florida in 1986 and by 1990 he had his own private architectural practice in Port St. Lucie, FL. He continued designing amazing structures including buildings at Indian River Community (State) College and a multi-million dollar estate in Manalapan, FL.
Steve suffered from Congestive Heart Failure for over 20 years defying the odds and continuously surprising doctors with his will to live. Steve was a man of the Lord and was quick to help others in need. He was a soft spoken man who always lended an ear. He easily made others laugh with a quick witted joke. He believed in treating everyone equally and with kindness. If you asked him how he wanted to be remembered he'd say, "A Good Guy".
Steve is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Dawn (Clark) St. Onge, son-in-law Miguel St. Onge and his pride and joy grandson, Colton St. Onge (11) of Altamonte Springs, FL where he moved to live out his retirement years as "Pa".
His surviving extended family includes Lori and Gary Pruett and their sons Austin (Alyssa), Preston, and Reagan Pruett of Texas. Nieces Micki Fields and Dani-Lee Fields. Nephews Clark Fields and Greg Fields.
