Our beloved Harry passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, the Lord's Day, April 28, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones and his furry companion, Daisy. He was 84 years young!
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debbie Miller; son Ryan A. Miller (Leslie); brothers Archie Miller (Freida) and Don Miller; sister, Mae Sizemore; sister-in-law Judy Sellers (Bob); and brother-in-law Eddie Hunt (Tricia); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harry was born in Spring Hill, West Virginia, February 26, 1935. He was one of eleven children born to Arch Miller and Crystal Pearl Grubbs Miller. As a young man he worked for the A&P Tea Company before enlisting in the United States Air Force where he served from June 1954 – December 1957 with his terminal date of reserve obligation in 1962. Harry had a deep love for his country, the military, and the American flag! After an honorable discharge he returned to his employment with the A&P Tea Company for some time until undertaking new employment opportunities. Harry moved to central Florida in 1975 where he began his tenure as a property appraiser for Seminole County until his retirement in 2003. His favorite pastime was watching Turner Classic Movies…westerns, military, and film noirs. He also enjoyed bowling and fishing. One of the highlights of his retirement was returning to the work force part-time with Allegiant Air. He loved airplanes, Harleys, and Ford Mustangs!
Harry's life priorities were very simple…faith and family! He was a man of his word! He loved deeply and completely! He measured success by relationships! The source of his pride and joy was his son Ryan and the man he has become! Just two years ago, Harry was thrilled to travel with his wife to the beautiful city of Antigua, Guatemala to witness the marriage of Ryan and Leslie! Harry will be forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. He was a good man who lived a Godly life!
