Helen Courtney

January 18, 1945 — June 13, 2022

Helen Cibroski Courtney aka Mam-mom, age 77, of Orlando, FL passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 13, 2022. She was born January 18, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Bridget (Doherty) and August Cibroski (now both deceased).

Helen graduated from Dobbins Randolph Vocational Technical School in 1962 with her best friend Lillian DeGothsier who to this day was still her best friend. Helen married young to Joseph Farrell with whom they had 6 children together. They later divorced. She moved to South Florida in 1994.

Helen enjoyed splitting her time with extended visits between Florida and Pennsylvania to spend time with children and grandchildren. She loved playing cards, board games, however Cooties was her favorite since her childhood. She had a very SWEET tooth and loved her sweets! She was famous for her road trips and singing the wrong words to most songs or just humming.. Her favorite music was Motown, Elvis & Cher and favorite color was PURPLE! I'm most certain Helen is happy to have her pop Molly back in her arms but her newest pup Gussie is for sure missing her too.

She is survived by her husband Walter Courtney, her brother James Cibroski, and her loving children, daughter Donna Levinson (Brad), son Joseph Farrell (Leslie), son Richard Farrell (Melanie), son Kevin Farrell (Julie), son Shawn Farrell (Sue) and daughter Colleen Hritz (Eric) as well as stepson Bobby Courtney (Crissy). She was a very beloved grandmother to Brett, Kirsten and Austin Levinson, Katie Farrell, Brenna and Allie Farrell, Brandi Tretter and Dylan Farrell, Declan and Tessa Farrell, Tyler and Travis Faflik, Britney and Brielle Hritz, Linda Meszaros, Reagan & Kaitlyn Courtney. She was an awesome Great-Grandmother to Brody, Brennan, Brayden, and Avery Levinson, Mya Courtney, Ethan and Aiden Meszaros, Alaina and Scarlett Newton. She was also a wonderful aunt to lots of nieces and nephews and especially close to her goddaughter Erin Chretien. She was a mother-like figure to many just like her honorary son Dominick Iannuzzi.

She is preceded in death by her sister Catherine Bayne and her brother Richard Cibroski.

Her favorite quote was always, "You're braver than you believe, Stronger than you seem & Smarter than you think! "

We will continue to honor you and make you PROUD!
