Helen L. Fountain

Helen L. Fountain, born August 9, 1933, endearingly known as “The Fox” for her classy manner. She departed this life on July 3,2024. She was the daughter of Roland Walker and Odessa Hamilton. She attended John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls School in Philadelphia where she graduated at the top of her class. She then went on to take and pass the civil service exam. Which lead to a successful 32-year career with the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Department, while also attending Temple University. She was a devout Christian. Serving the community for 30 years, as a class leader for new members at Mount Olive AME Church here in Orlando Florida.

Helen is predeceased by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband Donald Fountain Sr. (1978) From this union they were blessed with 4 children. Odessa E. Fountain (Manuel Zurita IX - 2022), Donald Fountain Jr. (Anjail Fountain), Edmond C. Fountain (Gloria Fountain -2004) David H. Fountain (Doreen Fountain).

Helen has 2 siblings: Bryon Byrd (Pat Byrd) and Marquita L. Hamilton (2002). She has 5 grandchildren: Donald Glover (Nafeesah Glover), Justin Fountain (Melissa Fountain), Her only granddaughter Fatimah Boldon, Thomas Boldon, and Jalil Fountain. She has 8 great grandchildren,1 great, great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends who all loved her dearly.
