Henry (Hank) Yuncza of Orlando, FL, passed away on June 16, 2024, at the age of 97. Born in Trenton, NJ, Hank was the youngest son of the late Anthony Yuncza and Bertha (Lapurke) Yuncza. Hank grew up in the Trenton area attending Trenton Catholic High School. He was a proud alumnus of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and an honored veteran serving in the US Navy’s Pacific fleet during WWII.
Hank and his wife of 69 years, Julie (Borello), raised their family in Youngstown, OH, where he had a long career as a Controller for US Steel and later for Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, PA.
Hank is remembered for many things including his kind, friendly demeanor, his love of story-telling, golf and fantasy football but most of all for his love of his family. He and Julie were the kind of parents and grandparents everyone should have - they loved unconditionally and were firm believers in "whatever the grandkids want" at grandmom and grandpop’s house.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Hank is survived by his beloved wife, Julie; children, Andrew Yuncza, Paula Hughes (Scott), and John Yuncza (Jennifer); grandchildren, Sophie, Garrett & Avery; and his caring nieces, nephews and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
Henry will be remembered with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at St Isaac Jogues Church, 4301 S. Chickasaw Trail, Orlando, FL. Interment will be on a later date at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
