Herbert R. Ossusky, Major, U.S.A.F. Ret., 89 of Orlando passed away Friday, May 4, 2007. Born in Bronx, N.Y. he moved to Orlando in 1961 upon retirement from the Air Force where he served during World War II and was a prisoner of war in Germany for 13 months. He was a real estate salesman for 20 years and was a life member of the American ex prisoners of War, the retired M.O.A.A. Officers Association and the Central Florida Chapters of each.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann M Ossusky of Orlando, daughters, Carolyn A. LaPorte and Evelyn J. Turner both of Orlando and Deborah J. Ossusky of Springfield, VA; grandchildren, Michael LaPorte, Michelle Jackson, Heather Hockman, Haley Mustone, Brian Turner, Kevin Turner and Daniel Mustone; great grandchildren, Nathan Jackson, Cameron Hughes, Austin Jackson, Savannah Jackson and Alicia Hockman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 9th in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM.
