Herkie Hilley
March 10, 1933 — December 30, 2017
Hertieline Caldwell Hilley (Herkie), 84, of Orlando, Fl, passed away Saturday, December 30th, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Hilley is preceded in death by husband, Robert E Hilley, of Orlando, Fl., sister Yvonne Cheek, of Savannah, GA; Mother, Nell Caldwell, of Orlando; Father, Hubert Caldwell, of Orlando. She is survived by sons Robert E. Hilley II (Sherry), of Huntsville, AL; Reade Hilley, of St. Cloud, FL; daughter Robin Vondracek (Mike), of Ormond Beach, FL; step-sister, Judy Webber. Mrs. Hilley is also survived by ten Grandchildren and eight Great-Grandchildren.
Mrs. Hilley was a member of Dover Shores Baptist Church. Mrs. Hilley was a 1951 graduate of Orlando High School. She was a lifelong member of the Suburban Woman's Club and loved to volunteer at a number of faith based initiatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or stjude.org/memorial.
Going home services will be held at Newcomers Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7th at 2:00 PM. Family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Internment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. A celebration of life reception will follow the burial at Dover Shores Baptist Church.
