It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our much beloved Mother and Grandmother, Hilda Lemois in Orlando, FL on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the age of 95 years old.
She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. Hilda "Lita" Lemois will be lovingly remembered by her children: Charles Lopez, Sonia Lopez, Joseph Lemois and his wife, Vikki Lemois. Also by her grandchildren: Isis Rodriguez, Joseph Elijah Lemois, Nikole Lemois, Victoria Lemois, Yazmin Lopez, Stephen Lopez, Ivan Lopez, Erick Lopez, Diana Rayo and their families. As well as her great grandchildren, her sisters, brothers and countless relatives and friends.
Hilda was born and raised in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico on September 26, 1927 to Leopoldo Ramos and Andrea Sambolin. She moved to New York in 1942 and met her first husband, Charles Lopez. They remained married until his untimely passing. Hilda and Charles had two children together Charles Lopez and Sonia Lopez. Later on, Hilda met and fell in love with Jose Lemois. They married and had a son, Joseph Lemois. Jose and Hilda were married for 45 years until his passing.
Hilda was a homemaker and faithful leader of her church. She moved to Florida in 1983 with her children and remained an influential person in her church community, leading the church choir and being treasurer of the ladies group. Hilda loved to dance. Any chance she had at a family gathering just hearing a song on the radio that she liked would get her shoulders and her feet moving.
Hilda Lemois was a loving mother, grandmother and daugther. She always made sure everyone was well taken care of. Her style was tough love but there was no denying she loved you.
We will definitely miss her contagious smile, her little shoulder shimmys, her singing and her sarcastic remarks. She definitely left an impact on any person that knew her. We know that she is in a better place, at peace and pain free. We believe she is smiling down at us and will Forever be in Our Hearts ??
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Newcomer 335 E State RD 434 Longwood, FL 32750
