Hilda M. Rivera, age 83, of Sanford, FL passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home in Sanford.
Hilda was born on June 11, 1939 in San Juan, PR, daughter of the late Pedro and Estebania (Roman Segarra) Cosme. On June 27, 1989, she married her husband, Antolino Rivera, to whom since they spent everyday together by each other's side.
Besides her husband Antolino, Hilda is surived by her two daughters, Linda Ortiz of Sanford, and Luz Montes and her husband, Ernest, of Seaford, NY; her sons, David Morales and his wife, Maritsa, of Longwood, and Jimmy Morales of Lake Mary; a sister, Ruthy Cosme of Kissimmee; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Eddie Rivera, and Gilbert Morales; and a daughter, Madelyn Saverino.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at Nativity Catholic Church, 3255 N. Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, with Fr. David Scotchie officiating.
Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Park Cemetery, Sanford, FL.
