Howard A. Miller, Jr.
Howard went to be with his Lord on December 23, 2015. Howard was born in Hagerstown, at the Washington County Hospital. He was the son of late Howard A. Miller and the late Edna M. Miller. He attended St Mary's and St. Maria Goretti and graduated in 1960. He died with his loving family around him.
After graduation he entered in to the Army, which he served three years at Fort Story, VA., at Virginia Beach, Va. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to Hagerstown and worked at M.S. Johnston Co. and later worked at Citi Group from which he retired.
He was a loving husband and devoted father. He lived his entire life in Hagerstown until May 2015 when he and his wife moved to Florida.
He attended St. Mary's and St. Ann's Catholic Churches.
He led a quiet and loving life with his wife and three sons. He was a very loving and caring person, he spent his life doing the best he could for his family and friends.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Virginia and three devoted sons, Howard A. Miller III and wife Darlene, James R. Miller and wife Emma and William A. Miller, a brother-in-law Chick A. Reiter wife Evelyn Reiter, a sister-in-law Louise Kirby and husband Joe Kirby, granddaughter Amber and husband Richard Weed and grandson James R. Miller, Jr. and wife Lindsey, great-granddaughters Jordyn and Ava, great-grandson Jaxon and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nephews, and great-great nephews. He was preceded in death by a Sister Betty Collins.
The funeral was handled by the Newcomer Funeral Home in Florida. The funeral Mass was held at St. Augustine Catholic Church and the burial was in All Souls Cemetery.
