Inez Richardson Dean, 98, died April 17, 2011 at 1am in Winter Park. Born in Kingsland GA February 3, 1913 to Benjamin and Rhodella (Gardner) Richardson, one of seven children all of whom predeceased her.
Her father was a farmer and later became a citrus grove manager in Ft Pierce, FL. They lived in several areas of Florida, and Inez had fond memories of the family traveling from Titusville to Apopka in a mule-drawn wagon to visit an uncle.
She met Alton Dean in Ft Pierce where they later married. He died in December 2000 at age 93. She was predeceased by her son Thomas and survived by her two daughters, Carolyn (Donald) Merrick and Clara Wilson, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Inez worked with the Jerry Lewis Telethon for several years and was a bookkeeper. She and Alton lived in the Regents Park Nursing Home in Winter Park where she was president of their Residents Association for many years.
She had no interest in computers until she learned how to play games, so it was no surprise to find her sitting at the computer playing her favorite games. Now her games will be with her in Heaven with the Lord keeping an eye on her. The Lord has blessed her and looked after her in her journey through this life and now He has her on her greatest journey, one she looked forward to with great anticipation.
