Iris M. Rosado-Casiano

Iris “Dolly” Rosado- Casiano went to join our heavenly Father on Friday, August 16th, 2024. 

Dolly was born on November 27, 1941, in Coamo, Puerto Rico to loving parents, Cruz Rosado and Rafaela Martinez. Her aunt, Julia Martinez, helped to raise her into adulthood. Dolly attended the University of Puerto Rico and graduated as a Medical Technologist. It was after her schooling that she met, fell in love, and married her husband, Rodolfo Casiano.

A compassionate and helpful woman, Dolly was always ready to say “yes” to helping her loved ones. Although she never had children, Dolly adopted her nieces and nephews as her own. She was an example of hard work and reliability.

 Dolly was passionate about many things. She loved to travel, especially on cruises. She spoke highly of a trip she took to Alaska. In addition, Dolly loved basketball. You could never say anything about the Miami Heat without hearing her input. Dolly also loved Rummikub. She never waivered from the rules of the game and was determined to win. She had a competitive spirit, but most of all, she enjoyed the family time that accompanied these activities.

 Dolly had a deep love for God and was strong in her Catholic faith. She cherished the opportunity to attend Mass each week with her sister and brother. Dolly knew that God had blessed her in many ways, and she always wished that same blessing upon others.

 Dolly is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Casiano (4/25/1981). She is survived by her loving siblings, Maggie Rosado-Martinez and Cruz Rosado, as well as her sister-in-law, Milly Rosado, her nieces and nephews, and her grand nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Dolly will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel,  895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, Orlando, FL.

Dolly will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
