Irvin Charles Johnson was born January 16, 1952, in Sanford, Florida, to the union of Irvin Johnson and Madie Rhymes Johnson. His mother and father preceded him in his death.
Charles was baptized at an early age and was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Sanford, Florida. He obtained his education in the schools of Seminole County and graduated from Crooms High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Johnson C. Smith University and his Master of Business Administration from The Atlanta University. Charles served honorable in the U.S Navy (USS Trenton) and spent his last years working at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Charles retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2021 after receiving the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Christ called him home on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He loved to travel and spent many years traveling and attending the Johnson and Rhymes Reunions.
Left to cherish the memories of Irvin Charles Johnson are: one brother: Fred Johnson; four sisters: Angela Johnson Dyson, Eva Johnson, Tammy Johnson, Robin Johnson Lind; nieces and nephews: Stephanie Johnson, Russell Dyson, Alysa Angel, Marvin Johnson Jr., Melvin Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, Teresa Johnson Douglas, Sharon Johnson, Angie Johnson, Joey Johnson, Eric Robinson, Antonio Lind, Renee Lind, Teddy Johnson, Lena Banks. Also left to cherish his memories include a host of relatives and friends. Charles will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Preceding his death were his siblings Marvin (Christine) Johnson, Merry Johnson, and Shirley Johnson Banks.
