Ismael Correa Jr. passed away May 30, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband whose extremely strong work ethic was an inspiring example to all. Mr. Correa was retired from Lerner Shops and Disney, where he worked in the Warehouse Department. He was born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico. He is preceded in death by his parents Ismael Correa Sr. and Dora Merle; stepsons, William Jimenez and Luis Jimenez. He is survived by his wife Josefina Correa of Florida; brother, Jose Merle of North Carolina; sisters, Myrna Correa of Puerto Rico and Betzaida P. Depaz of Florida; children, Nilda Correa of Florida, David Correa of New York, Edward Correa of North Carolina, Ismael Correa III of Texas, Joseph Correa of New York, Dennis Correa of Florida, Annette Correa of New York, Gloria Correa of New York; step children, Julio Colon of Peru, Anibal Colon of New York, Pedro Colon of New Mexico, Jose Colon of Florida, Lucy Jimenez of New York, Carmen Colon of Puerto Rico; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wed. June 3, 2009 in the Chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday evening.
