Mr. Jack E. Chandler, 83 of Orlando passed into Gods embrace at home on Thursday, May 28, 2009 with his family at his side. He was born in Alabama on Feb. 15, 1926 and resided in Orlando for 50 years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Chandler; daughters, Yvon D. Maroon of Orlando, Mary Oller of Kentucky, and Dorothy Eckerson of New York. Step sons, Robin and Mike Daniels both of Orlando; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1942 and served W.W. II and Korea and retired in 1962. He proudly served as an Orange County Deputy Sheriff from 1962 until his retirement in 1982. He was a Bahia Shriner, Blue Lodge Mason, 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Eastern Star and of the V.F.W. Post 4287 Elks and Moose Lodge.
A memorial service with full Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Sat. June 6, 2009 in the Chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando.
