Jack Hammond , 84 of Titusville, Florida passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014.
Jack was born on August 17, 1929 inTipp City, Ohio to the late Elmer and Mary Hammond. He was a Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from NASA after over 40 years of service. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Titusville. He enjoyed music, golf and bowling. He along with his wife volunteered at Florida Hospital South rocking babies.
Jack was also preceded in death by his wife, Grace Hammond in 2006 and is survived by his son, Douglas Brent Hammond and his wife, Melissa; daughter, Jacquelyn K. Jacobshagen and her husband Michael grandchildren, Rachel M. Hammond, Joseph N. Jacobshagen and Ryan D. Hammond; sister, Gladys Gildow, brother, Charles Hammond, sister, Shirley Atkins and sister, Patsy Sullivan.
