Jacobo F. Battad, Sr.

Engr. Jacobo F. Battad, was born on September 1, 1925 in Olongapo City, Philippines from very proud parents Pelagio Battad and Sinforosa Famisan.

Married to Anita P. Battad on June 28, 1951 and blessed with seven children, Corydon, Jacobo Jr., Marlon, Selwyn, Marichi, Carissa and Ian.

Jacobo lived a very fulfilled and meaningful life for 89 beautiful years, both in private and professional career. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of the Philippines. His engineering career landed him several employment with both private and government sector. His dedication to his chosen career was rewarded with his appointment as the first Provincial Engineer of the Province of Zambales, which evolved into a major provider of infrastructure projects in the province. The highlight of his public service was his appointment as Governor of our beloved province of Zambales.

As we bid our goodbye to a perfect gentleman, loving husband, dutiful father and a faithful Catholic, his loving memory will linger in our midst forever.
