Jacquelyn Lee Meyers Bensel was born on February 10th, 1965 in Wallingford, Connecticut and passed away August 18th, 2021 in Winter Park, Florida.
Jackie was a loving mother, a beautiful wife, and fantastic friend who always had a smile on her face. She grew up in Connecticut, then moved to Florida in her early twenties. She worked at Advent Health in Patient Financial for the last 15 plus years, where she made many great friends. She enjoyed going to new places, and moving to new areas, but never strayed too far from her children whom she deeply loved.
Jackie had a love for the beach and whenever she got the opportunity to go, she took it. Life was always better at the beach! She enjoyed it even more if her husband, kids, or grandson were there too, soaking up the sun with colorful zinc on everyone's noses and lips, relaxing and listening to the waves hit the shore. Jackie also loved elephants. She had so many precious collectibles of her favorite animal, some she bought and others gifted to her, that were placed in nearly every room of her house. When the leaves started changing and Christmas was around the corner, she always got so excited to decorate with her Dickens Houses, bundle up when it was cold on the couch, with her pups and husband, Mark.
Jackie is survived by her two wonderful children, Paul and Lauren, her grandson Mason, as well as the love of her life, her husband Mark, her two dogs, Chico and Bella, along with countless friends and family members.
Jackie was a beautiful person inside and out, and will leave a hole in the hearts of so many loved ones that can never be filled. She was kind and giving and was always full of love. She was Catholic, and will be forever in the glory of God with many who look forward to seeing again.
A funeral will be held at Newcomers Funeral Home (895 South Goldenrod) on Wednesday, September 1st from 5:00 to 9:00.
