James A. Evans, 78 of Orlando passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007. Born in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, he moved to Central Florida in the early 1970's. He was a retired master automobile mechanic and of the Church of Christ Faith.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jacqueline; his children, William E. Evans and wife Colleen, Tony Evans and wife Allison, Mark Sena, Terri Mooney and husband Frank and Tammy Smith and Husband Tony; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his sisters, Juanita Tucker and Edith Fulks and sister-in-law, Minerva Evans. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Cybil Joy and Judy Keeler and brother Ray Evans. Jim also had many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, Aug. 12th in the chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
