James T. Branam, Jr., 89 of McPherson, Kansas and formerly of Orlando, Florida went home to his Lord on Saturday, January 19, 2015 at his home in McPherson. He had been a McPherson resident since 2012 and was retired from Eastern Airlines where he had worked for 38 years as a site manager in Chattanooga, TN and as a chief ticket agent in Orlando, FL.
James was born June 15, 1925 in Valdosta, GA, the son of James Thomas, Sr. and Marion Estelle (Smith) Branam.
During World War II, James enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in June 1946.
On July 25, 1948, James married Mildred "Micky" J. Kincaid in Greenville, SC. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2000.
He received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1950.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Cate (Dan) of McPherson and Teri Cocking (Matthew) of Orlando, FL; a son, Thomas Branam (Jackie) of Altamonte Springs, FL; sister, Helen Hardison of Braselton, GA; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Post (Troy), Christen Cate, David Cate (Elizabeth), Jeremy Cate (Fiance, Samantha Lemcke), Alisha Cate, Elizabeth Arndt Classe (Shaun) and Savannah Long; three great-grandchildren, Time Post, Aaron Post and Madison Post and several nieces and nephews.
