James A Conner

James A. Conner, 62, of Ormond Beach, passed away on January 7, 2024 at Halifax Health - Hospice Ormond Beach Care Center.

He was born on July 29, 1961 to Arvis and Donna (Frazier) Conner in Memphis, TN.

James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family meant everything to him. James worked as an Over the Road Trucker for 20 years, driving all over the United States, making friends everywhere he went. He never met a stranger and loved helping others. After a successful career as a trucker, James drove a charter bus for Mears Transportation, where he continued to put others first. He loved fishing whenever he could.

He married Michelle Conner (Barnhart). James and Michelle lived in Ormond Beach, Florida and were married for over 30 years.

James is survived by his loving Wife, Michelle, Daughter, Amanda Faye Bell (Anthony), Sister, Carla Penzabene (Jimmy), Sister, Karen Russell, Brother, Christopher Conner (Amanda), Grandchildren, Ty Bell, Kaylee Bell, Shaylene Bell, Aundre Bell, Aleyna Bell, Deja Bell, Great-Grandchild, Ace Bell, and Nephews Steven Russell, Jeremy Conner and Kevin Conner.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Donna Conner, Father, Arvis Ray Conner, Brother, Stanley Conner, and Sister, Kimberly Conner.

Funeral services are Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida 32822 with Brother Jim Sellers, officiating

Visitation will precede the funeral service on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Interment will take place immediately following the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando, Florida.
