James Dewey Dix Jr.

James D. Dix Jr., 49, of Orlando, passed away of a heart attack on Thursday November 9, 2017. Jimmy leaves behind his mother, father, step-mother, sister and nieces.

Jimmy was born in Gainesville, FL, then grew up in Orlando. He graduated Oviedo High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Florida Southern College. Jimmy had a 30 year long career at Walgreens in the distribution center.

Jimmy was a dreamer and held many interests including fishing, hiking, and traveling. He and his sister were fortunate enough to visit Paris together. Last year, He visited Alaska with his father and stepmother. He had a quick wit and was always kind and supportive to those around him. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Friday December 1, 2017 from 1 pm - 3 pm at Newcomer cremations, funerals, receptions in Longwood. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Red Cross in his memory.
