James Douglas

S.SGT James C. Douglas, U.S. Air Force, Retired of Orlando passed away Tuesday, April 04, 2006. He was born in Ft. Meade, FL. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in World War II and Korea. After his retirement from the Air Force he spent the next 13 years with the Civil Service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #112 and Disabled American Veterans Post # 116 and was a past member of the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Douglas of Orlando; son, Danny Douglas of St. Cloud; daughter, Debbie Dermid of Ararat, N.C.; son, Gary Douglas of Orlando; grandchildren, Shannon Rayner, Diana Douglas and Sarah Martin; great grandchildren, Mariah and Trenton Rayner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, April 7th in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
