James Fulton McLean- Of Orlando, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, , 2013. He was 76 years young.
He was born in Springfield, Florida on January 17, 1937 to Lloyd G. and Anna Belle McLean.
He was one of four siblings: he graduated from Crestview High School and joined the United States Marine Corp.
He met and married Dalhia Ann Day and went on to have three children James Michael, Tammy Lynn, and Mary Rebecca who held a special bond with their father. He is also survived by his brothers Lloyd John McLean, Billy Jack McLean and his sister Elizabeth Laray Mansfield. Also survived by his grandchildren Brian (Spouse Barbara) Booker, Brandon Booker, Brenton Booker, Breann (Spouse Brad) Argo, Rebecca Ashley Sears and James Sears. Also survived by great-grandchildren Anna Booker, Maddox Booker and Sabastian. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who were very dear to his heart. He also leaves his beloved cat Zuesee.
He served with distinction as a Marine for 20 plus years which included service in the Vietnam War. He enlisted in his beloved Marine Corp and rose to the rank of Captain. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. He was always a Marine.
After exiting the Marine Corp he joined the Orange County Sheriff's Department and served with Distinction for over 20 years and retired. He said serving as a law enforcement officer was a great accomplishment in his life.
He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church of Orlando, Florida.
He served God, country, family, and community during his time.
