On Tuesday, September 19th, James Anthony Grzesik passed away after a long battle with cancer at 57 years old. Jim was born on August 7, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois.
Jim was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, son, and friend. Jim started his career as an engineer in 1989 at ECC International and spent the last 24 years with Lockheed Martin. He was very passionate about his job and the people he worked with. Jim also volunteered his time in his local community on the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission, enacting change in our local public transportation.
Jim loved traveling, and his favorite memories were of the cruises he took with his family to the Caribbean, Alaska, and Europe. He was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and loved that he got to see their first World Series win in over 100 years.
Jim was very intelligent, but he was best known by his loved ones for his friendly, outgoing demeanor, sometimes goofy personality, and generous spirit. On his travels he was known to sneak a selfie stick in to his luggage much to the dismay of his wife and children.
Jim is survived by his wife of 34 years, Donna Grzesik, their two children, Tyler Grzesik and Mackenzie Grzesik, and his father, Francis Grzesik. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his mother, Angela Grzesik.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 351 Ascension Dr, Casselberry, FL, 32707. A light luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who are able make a donation to the Gastric Cancer Foundation--------------
